Microsoft Monitoring

The Microsoft ® Dashboard is your one-stop shop for all things security. From alerts to risk detections, sign-ins, and more, we've got you covered. Stay informed and in control with our intuitive dashboard and other ways to monitor your Microsoft tenant. Here is how you make it happen.

App Registration
A) Log in to the Microsoft Entra Admin center.
B) Navigate to Microsoft Entra ID > App Registrations > New Registration.
C) Provide an application name, select supported account types, and configure the redirect URI (if required). See Register an application with the Microsoft identity platform for more information.
D) After registering the app, note the Application (Client) ID and Directory (Tenant) ID.

E) Set up your Microsoft Graph API information.
  1) Microsft Graph, OpenAI and Gemini API interface configurations.

 

  1) Enter your Microsoft information. The name of the API along with App ID, Secret and Tenant ID.

View Microsoft Data
F) Load the dashboard and client with the new API information.
  1) Microsoft SOC Dashboard (Sign-ins, Directory, Risk Detections, Device Incidents, Alerts)
  2) Current Secure Score view.
  3) View Devices.
  4) View SharePoint Sites and Recycle Bin contents.
  5) View Alerts.
  6) View Device Incidents.
  7) View Directory Information.
  8) View Risk Detections
  9) View Sign-ins
  Create Incidents from all views.
 
G) View your information like Secure Score, Directory and Sign-ins.
  1) Secure Score with remediation information.
 

  1) User Sign-ins with unregistered devices and different IP addresses and locations.
 

  1) User Sign-ins with devices and different IP addresses and locations. User location is Davao City PH
 

  1) Directory information and questionable log entries.

Incidents
H) Create incidents to investigate further.

  1) Create an Incident and investigate with NIST 800-61 Rev2.
 

OpenAI and Gemini Help
I) OpenAI and Gemini support that helps with configuration and permissions.
  1) Microsoft Tenant Error and permissions information.
  2) Launching the OpenAI or Gemini Window will provide help and will save the information for future use.
